Parking Maps and Launching

NOTICE: LIMITED PARKING ON KELLY DRIVE FOR COACHES AND COMPETITORS ONLY. NO PARKING BEFORE 6:30AM ON SUNDAY. Keep scrolling for maps.

Launching/Landing Docks: The launching docks are located at the public dock area just downriver of the SJU Boathouse. There will be no docking in the the Three Angels area of the river or at the East Park Canoe House.

General Information: Trailer and boat parking will be available beginning at 6:30am on Sunday. Vehicles towing trailers and all car-topped boats must access Kelly Drive from the north, i.e. by City Avenue - Exit 340A from the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76) - and head southbound on Kelly Drive.

Competitor Parking Pass: A parking pass will be required to access Kelly Drive below the barricades at Strawberry Mansion bridge. All Competitor/Coach passes will be issued on Friday via email directly to account holders on Regatta Central. Drop-Off passes for Passengers / Spectators / Team Tents will be available online in the Spectator section of this site on Friday, October 13th.

Trailer Parking: Parking begins at 6:30am after Kelly Drive is closed. Trailers will be parked in the South (downriver) section of the Canoe Club parking lot as well as along Kelly Drive. Trailers parked in the Canoe Club lot will need to unhitch their tow vehicles during racing. Tow vehicles must park along Kelly Drive downriver of the SJU Boathouse. Please use Maps section for visual reference.
·      The main trailer lot located South (downriver) of the Canoe Club will be filled first (see Map #1). Officials will guide drivers in order to maximize space.
·      Once the main lot is full trailers will begin to park along Kelly Drive parallel to the river. We will start at the south end of the marked trailer zone (see Map #2) and then fill in behind as vehicles arrive. We will need to double park trailers. Officials will be on the road to order parking.

Car Transport Parking:  Car-topped boats (1x, 2x, 2-) will be parked in a dedicated zone along Kelly Drive. This zone will be located just below the SJU Boathouse and the launching docks (see Map #2). The grass areas opposite these spots will be reserved for rigging and storage of boats. If small boat parking reaches capacity then competitors should offload boats in the small boat area and then park in an open spot further south on Kelly Drive.

Team Bus Parking: Team buses will be allowed to offload athletes in the trailer/launching area. All buses must then proceed southbound on Kelly Drive past the Columbia Railroad bridge. Buses will be allowed to parallel park on the east side of Kelly Drive near the Three Angels. See map below.

Competitor & Coach Parking: All Competitor/Coach passes will be issued via email directly to account holders on Regatta Central. Due to the fact that there is limited space on Kelly Drive the parking pass does not guarantee availability. Park diagonally on the west side (river side) of Kelly Drive. Do not park on the grass and do not park on the east side of Kelly Drive at any point along the road. Cars will be ticketed and towed for parking violations. Overflow parking should go to the satellite parking for spectators off Reservoir Road above Strawberry Mansion bridge. A free parking shuttle will be provided to bring people onto Kelly Drive. See the SPECTATOR section of the website for further details.

Chuckwagon Parking: See the Team Tent portion of the Spectator section for parking maps and details.

Team Tent Area: Due to space restrictions around the SJU Boathouse and the launching area all team food tents must be located below the trailer and car-top zones (see Map #3). Reservations are not required. Space is first come first served. See the Spectator section for more information including details for Chuckwagon parking.
